Career Cohort: Refocusing on Your Rabbinate
For WRN Members
Led by Gale Nichols, Career & Rabbinic Coach, www.rabbiniccoaching.com
Have you taken time away from your rabbinic career to focus on family, health, or something else? Perhaps you’ve been a stay-at-home mom or working reduced hours for a while, but you’re ready to increase your time at work now that your children are in school or more independent. Or maybe you’ve been attending to a health crisis—your own or a loved one’s—and now that the situation has stabilized, you’d like to “on-ramp” back to a part-time or full-time role. You may have left a job that wasn’t right for you and taken time to catch your breath, and you now feel ready to look for a new opportunity.
Are you wondering how to refocus on your rabbinate? Where should you start and how should you proceed?
In this webinar series, you’ll join experienced career and rabbinic coach Gale Nichols and fellow WRN members as we explore topics which will inspire and help you as you reignite your career:
§ Understanding why and when you want to begin devoting more time to work
§ Coming to terms with conflicting feelings (e.g., excitement about new job opportunities and guilt about devoting less time to your family)
§ Assessing your interests, skills, values, personality type, and priorities
§ Learning from and talking about your time away from the full-time rabbinate
§ Defining and communicating your personal brand
§ Building a supportive and helpful network
§ Identifying opportunities that are a good fit for you
§ Creating a compelling resume, personal statement, and cover letter
§ Interviewing effectively
§ Evaluating a job offer, including matters of gender pay equity, and negotiating your compensation package
The registration fee includes 4 90-minute webinar sessions and a 60-minute one-on-one coaching session with Gale, to be scheduled separately.
Wednesdays, April 11 and 18; May 9 and 16; 5:30-7:00 PM ET
Enrollment maximum for one cohort: 8 people. Enrollment minimum: 4 people.
